If the coworker who has been managing your company's leadtributor account is leaving the company, the account needs to be handed over to a new coworker. How to do this depends on whether the previous coworker is still with the company or has already left.
Case 1: The previous coworker is still with the company
This is the easiest case. The previous coworker can invite the new coworker themselves and grant them the necessary permissions before leaving.
Steps:
- The previous coworker logs in to leadtributor and navigates to Settings → Coworkers.
(Direct link: Coworker management) - They invite the new coworker by email address and assign them the role Admin.
- The new coworker receives an invitation email and accepts the invitation.
- From now on, the new coworker can log in, invite further coworkers, and manage all settings.
- Once the previous coworker has fully left the company, the new admin can remove them from the coworker management.
💡 Tip: The earlier the handover is initiated, the smoother it will go. Ideally before the previous coworker reaches their last few days at the company.
Case 2: The previous coworker has already left
If the previous coworker has already left the company and no handover took place, there are still two options – depending on whether the coworker's email account is still accessible.
2a. The email account is still accessible (or can be forwarded)
In this case, a new password can be set for the departed coworker's leadtributor account to log in and complete the handover yourself.
Steps:
- Find out which email address the departed coworker used to register with leadtributor. This email address will be needed in the next step.
- Go to the "Forgot password" function:
leadtributor.cloud/#/password - Enter the departed coworker's email address. leadtributor will send a password reset email to that address.
- A coworker or IT administrator with access to the departed employee's inbox retrieves this email and resets the password.
Tip: If the inbox is no longer directly accessible, an IT administrator can temporarily set up email forwarding from the old address to an active mailbox. - Using the new password, you can log in to leadtributor as the departed coworker.
- Navigate to Settings → Coworkers (coworker management) and invite yourself (or the new responsible coworker) with the role Admin.
- Accept the invitation using the new account.
- Then remove the departed coworker's entry from the coworker management.
2b. The email account is no longer accessible
If the departed coworker's email account has already been deleted, or access or forwarding is not possible, please contact leadtributor support directly.
Steps:
- Send an email to: support@leadtributor.cloud
- The email must include the following information:
- The email address of the departed coworker (the one they used to register with leadtributor)
- The email address of the new coworker who is to take over the account
- The name of your company
- The name of the company from which you receive leads (your principal)
- The email must be sent from a professional email address of your company and must credibly demonstrate that you are authorised to take over the account.
A support team member will review the case, verify the required authorisation to prevent misuse, and then invite the new coworker to the account.
| Situation | Solution |
|---|---|
| Coworker is still with the company | Coworker invites the new admin themselves → Case 1 |
| Coworker has left, email account still accessible | Reset password, log in, invite new admin → Case 2a |
| Coworker has left, email account no longer accessible | Contact support: support@leadtributor.cloud → Case 2b |
